The Partnership Playbook

Partnerships are a growth multiplier when roles and expectations are clear. Without alignment, they become one of the most expensive mistakes  real estate  investors can make. This is an in-person event for real estate investors who are growing their portfolio and want a repeatable framework to evaluate, structure, and strengthen partnerships to scale further.

Session 1: Prenup, Getting Into Alignment

Partnerships fail when expectations are assumed instead of defined. In this opening session, Liz and Andresa break down the business “prenup,” the conversations every investor must have before entering or restructuring a partnership.

You will learn how to clearly define roles, decision rights, communication norms, and long-term expectations so alignment exists before money, pressure, or growth put strain on the partnership.

Session 2: Leveraging Visionaries and Integrators

Strong partnerships are built on shared values and complementary strengths.

In this session, you will learn how to intentionally structure partnerships by leveraging the natural strengths of visionaries and integrators so each partner stays in their lane and the business moves forward with less friction.

You will walk away with practical guidance on assigning ownership over vision, strategy, execution, and operations, creating clear decision-making processes, and building systems that allow the partnership to scale without burnout or resentment.

Session 3: Fireside Chat with Kass and Mike Lazerow

Partnerships fail under pressure. Kass and Mike Lazerow have navigated ups and downs together, from the dot-com crash and bankruptcy to building and selling Buddy Media to Salesforce for $745 million, while raising three kids and supporting founders as investors and advisors.

In this candid conversation, they will break down the operating rules that protect trust under pressure, including boundaries between work and life, how they make decisions when they disagree, and what they do to stay aligned through intense growth seasons and hard moments.
